Work Party on the 9th
Published 11:20 on 6 May 2026
The old saying how time flies if you are having fun, must mean that our work parties are really entertaining as yet another one is taking place this Saturday the 9th May.
Led as usual by Les Perry there is the usual long list of jobs to be completed. These range from grass cutting and grounds maintenance, painting, specialist electrical work, drain digging, sheet metal construction, cleaning trophies, and many other tasks.
If you are a work party first-timer, just pop along at 9am on Saturday and seek Les out. Wear typical outdoor workwear and gloves. Any specialist safety kit will be provided. There is a Work Party WhatsApp group that you can join - see the link in your website portal menu, where you can ask questions and share your special skills. This also enables us to coordinate special equipment - such as a cherry picker for the 9th to enable working at height.
You can also share your special skills through the club members skills survey…

Give the work party a go. There are tasks for everyone to have a go at, and it is a great way of meeting fellow members and having a fun Saturday morning - and the time will fly by, honestly!
