Racing Sunday 11th October
Well If the fleet thought the wind was light on the 4th, then the mirror-like lake that greeted them on Sunday 11th took it to another level. Great day to be OOD, whispered one helm! Racing Sunday 4th Oct
Sunday racing - October 4th… In a contrast to recent wild weather, Sunday 4th October saw 15 boat taking to the water in light winds. However once the course was set we managed to get in two races. Ladies L(a)unched!
Ladies that L(a)unch - Sat 10th Oct Spoiler - the next one is on Saturday 14th November… Vicki Hall was there. The blustery and showery conditions didn’t deter the attendees of our first session. Miracle Champs Day 2
Shan continues her coverage of the Miracle Welsh Area Champs: Day 2 Sunday morning dawned bright and blustery with a definite Autumn chill in the air; crews gathered on shore looking at the lake, white horses again! The wind direction was consistent with Saturday, ideal for Shotwick, coming off the estuary. Miracle Champs day 1
It was a typical lively weekend at Shotwick Lake for the two-day Miracle Welsh Area Miracle Championships (19/20th September). Shan Stapley was there, organising (together with Julie Dolman and many other Shotwick members) and also taking part, crewing for Dave Thomas.
