Yes! Lightning Open is coming
Saturday 4th July. Shotwick Lake Sailing hosts the Lightning Open. The Lightning Fleet - led of course by Commodore Jeremy is growing fast, so expect a lively but fun day of racing. One race before lunch and two more in the afternoon. Topped off perfectly with a social fish and chip evening. The event is open to all Shotwick Lightning sailors and visitors. Points Mean Prizes!
Well actually, for the non-racers reading this, the lower your points total and the better you are doing!!! So the aim for all those attending the prize presentations last Sunday was to have the lowest score overall, winning one of the coveted club trophies. Champagne Supernova
Well to be honest we have no idea what his singing is like, but James Stark travelled to Winsford Flash on June 13th to participate in the Supernova Open - and came back with 3rd place honours! Sunday Prizegiving
Following the first two races on Sunday (21st June) members will have the chance to rub shoulders with the latest stars of the recent racing series! Obviously the timing depends upon race timings but the presentations will probably be around 12:15. So pop down to the lake on Sunday and celebrate with the winners.
