Early Spring Series starts
Wow, one series down for 2026 and the next one comes along. Members only this one, the Early Spring Series. Simon Dolmon, fresh from his Winter break, is back and in fine writing fettle. Training
It might only be March but club training is well underway. Today was the turn of the safety boat helms as they undertook refresher training under the watchful eye of Chief Instructor Chris Snow. Chris was assisted by Jude Stratton who was completing her final observed training session before being signed off as a club instructor. Work Party!
The March work party was a varied affair. A team of 18 members carried out grounds maintenance, the construction of a rack for boat storage, installation of computer cabling, inventory and clear out of the old equipment store, repairs to the store roof, raking and grading of the NW lake access ramp, carrying out maintenance on the club Hansa 303 Access dinghies, cleaning the pontoon and inventory and cleaning of the club trophies plus any More »

Strength in depth
While it is always fun to see who will top the podium during a series the real strength of Shotwick Lake Sailing is the breadth and depth of sailing experience throughout the fleet. Total beginners compete alongside the experts many racing for the first time and some with only limited sailing experience. Brass Monkey winners!
St David was hopefully watching on as the final two races of the Brass Monkey Open Series were completed. It has been a great series enjoyed by members and visitors alike.
