Croeso and welcome to Shotwick Lake Sailing

Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. We have members from North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both juniors and adults alike.

2026 racing is underway. 13 singlehanders hit the water today Sunday February 1st, with the first two races of the Brass Monkey Open Series. Junior fun day - Feb half term

A great start to 2026

The largest workparty in recent times, at well over 30 members, gathered at Shotwick Lake on Saturday 24th January. Les Perry was ready with a challenging list of jobs, and secretary Vicki was ready with hot soup at half-time. While an on-the-water team worked in very gusty conditions to install the racing marks under Dougs eagle eye, members worked across all areas of the lake as well as the access road. Brass Monkey Open invite

OK so time to get those last minute jobs done on the boat, adding all those go-faster gizmos that Father Christmas brought. The first two races of the Brass Monkey Open series are on Sunday 1st February. January Working Party

Yep, Les is already planning the first Working Party of 2026, which will be the morning of Saturday 24th January, from 9-12ish. Prize winning and social

Following the pursuit race on Sunday 14th December, the Club held the annual awards presentations followed by a very well attended social afternoon, including catering by Dot and the team.
