Spring continues

Sunday 3rd May was another great day in Spring. Two more Spring Series races in the morning and Spring Afternoon Series after lunch. It was another double for Phil Watson, but Dave Thomas made him work hard for the wins, finishing only seconds behind on corrected time. It was a second Streaker in the hands of Sandy Mills that completed the podium places in both races. That puts Phil in the driving seat for the Spring Series, although the series is far from over. Will Phil make this his second series win in 2026 - who will stop him!
Special mention to Paul Edge out in the Hansa 303 for both Spring Series races. It is hoped to get a second Hansa on the water later in the season. The mother/daughter battle of Claire and Sylvia continues, with Claire only just taking the honours in race 3, by 6 seconds corrected time.
14 boats were on the lake for both races - still plenty of room for more!
The Spring Afternoon Series saw a slightly reduced field of 10 boats on the water. But Phil was giving no quarter, taking his third victory of the day stretching his lead over the chasing helms. His fellow Streaker helm Sandy was pushed into fourth place by Joe Sargent who finished only 10 seconds ahead of Dave Thomas.
