Racing update

Alongside all the junior activities and RYA adult and junior training currently ongoing, the 2026 racing programme continues to excite the club racers!

Sailing secretary Simon Dolman commented after the Sunday races: The current set of race series continues to be fantastic, with some truly great competitive sailing and plenty of good-natured debate about racing "manoeuvres" after the racing — exactly as it should be!

It has also been wonderful to see some of our newer racers sailing exceptionally well and making huge improvements. With some great trophies up for grabs, the question is: who will be the first recipient of the One Up Cup — our new award recognising a sailor who delivers an outstanding performance throughout a series?

It is a pleasure sailing with you all: competitive but fair, friendly, and most importantly, fun!!

Just to note we have a few boats sailing with different sails to the boat number - no problem but can we all please (to help me out and for correctness):

- sign on with the boat number - but make a note if sailing with different number sails please. We will record results against the boat number . And a special thanks to Andy Duncan and Paul Beaton, both non-racers who have been helping out with race duties.
