Work party - welcome back Les!

The August work party was a great success with many jobs being tackled. It also welcomed back work party mastermind Les Perry after his enforced rest… Amongst many of the jobs tackled was the cleaning up of many of the unused, unidentified boats and berths. Here Mark Neil and Paul Quarell show off their skills as they recover yet another mislaid boat cover from the undergrowth.
Les commented:
A massive thank you to everyone who turned out for our August work-party! There was a lot of very important "background" and incidental work done which is essential for the safe running of our club, as well as the usual heavy stuff and sorting of site waste, and also fixing new sinage on permit holder berths.
A personal thanks also to Paul Quarless who kindly pulled my boat from its berth, trimmed the site and even rotated the trailer wheels to stop the tyres egging before putting everything back!
You too can work alongside Les and do your bit to keep the club looking good and the facilities and equipment in top class condition. Work parties are usually held on the morning of the first Saturday in the month. Keep a look out on the club events page, this website and the club facebook page and pop it in your diary. No special skills needed, but if you do have magical trade and engineering skills then do let Les know and help find you something more challenging to tackle!
Its also time to remind all berth holders that each craft needs to have a 2025 sticker on it, to avoid being removed from the club… Stickers are in the clubhouse in an envelope with your name on.
