Next Saturday Work Party

Following the fantastic turnout at the last work party Les is really excited to see how many members will turn up on Saturday (7th March) - will it be a new record? The work list is below, but first a special request. We know many members have special skills that could make a real difference, not only for the work parties but for some upcoming projects! So if you are a master tradesperson, project manager, groundsman, steel erector, welder, plumber, data manager (yes!), pipeline installer, etc etc then drop an email to comms@shotwicksailing.org with your special skill and an email and mobile number and well get in touch. Or turn up on Saturday and have a chat with Les. Work party runs from 9am to midday and there will be soup and a roll afterwards…

So what has Les got on his list this Saturday:

- There are more tie-downs to be sorted for the new berths (heavy work)
- Stainless steel mesh to be fitted across the lake outfall
- A storage rack to be constructed to hold multiple Optimist and Topper dinghies
- And yes, the grass and vegetation has started growing
- An inventory is required for the equipment store (soon to be replaced) - led by Vicki
- A complete inventory and clean of all the trophies is required (to support a repurposing of them)

Dress for weather and work and if the work parties so far this year are anything to go by prepare to have fun!!!
