Eastport Pram

There was a lot happening at the club on Friday night. The first session of the RYA 1/2 course got underway. A meeting was held to progress a new approach to enable our youngsters to experience sailing for the first time… more on that over the next month or so. But keen—eyed members might have noticed a new boat on the lake.

In fact it was the maiden voyage of an Eastport Pram, with Ian Duncan at the helm. This pristine looking dinghy was build by his father-in-law and finished off by Ian. A more relaxed ride for Ian than his usual Laser, Ian is off to find out what the PY number might be. Look out for bandit, or should that be pirate, Ian in a future race!
