With the Brass Monkey Series nearing the end - one more Sunday to go, Dave Thomas (OOD) tells the story of races 7 and 8, on a day that had blue sky, wild sky, and gusts that caught many out in race 1…

What a great day for the penultimate race day wind straight down the lake plenty of gybes, plenty of swimming!

Great turnout of 18 boats with a couple of new faces to the series and a couple missing,The Commodore chose to grace us with his presence where he hoped to take a couple of wins (which would take him to 1st overall with his OOD duties) unfortunately for him Kieran showed up in Aero 5 to beat him in both races, which kept him off the top overall leaving that to Eric in his Supernova. Missing today due to an equipment malfunction (zip broke on his dry suit) Steve in his K1 and Mr Gobby, aka Simon Dolman (off sunning himself). Both races were lead by Andy In his RS100, but not by enough to take the lead on corrected time.
It is great to see lots of new faces taking part In the racing and improving their skills, keep going all of you as we had very trying conditions today.

Looking forward to the final next week when its all to play for. Dave.
