April Regatta

The first regatta of the year was held on Sunday 27th April 2025. The regatta format consists of two morning races, back-to-back with a final afternoon race. Sunday was an almost perfect day, with the added frustration of a lack of wind! This saw race 2 being abandoned under the 25 minute rule.

No surprise to see young Kieran Lewis (Aero 7) topping the podium for both race 1 and 3, building a results record his F1 namesake would be proud of. In race 1 it was fellow Aero 7 helm Jeanette Davies who came in second place, followed by Matthew Bennett in his Solo.

In race 3 Kieran was pushed all the way by Nick Hall in his Topaz Uno, who was only 10 seconds ahead of third place Joe Sergeant in his Laser Radial.

However looking at the overall placings after the first regatta weekend and Kieran Lewis (Aero 7) remains the one to beat. Sneaking into second place, due to two consistent placings, is Ian Duncan (Laser), spoiling an Aero one-two as Jeanette Davies takes third place overall.
