Safety Boat Refresher

At the beginning of the month we held a refresher course for safety boat helms.

The course was held over a morning or afternoon and a total of 31 people attended.  The course covered launching and recovering the safety boat; recovery of unconscious casualty; assisting helms to right their boat and how to prioritise assistance on very windy days. In the New Year you will also see a traffic light system being used to help members make informed decisions about sailing conditions.
