Work Party

We are holding a work party on Saturday 23rd October and we really need your help.

9.00am – 12.00pm Last year we were unable to hold many, if any, work party’s and the committee worked hard to ensure that the vital maintenance and repairs were carried out on your behalf. Jobs for the Work Party: 1.  If you’ve been on the water at all this year, you will have noticed that the weed has continued to be a problem. At this time of year, the weed breaks off and floats around the lake causing havoc, especially for racing on a Sunday. On Saturday one of the jobs is to remove as much of it from the lake as possible and leave on the bank to drain. 2.  The reeds along the bank by number 2 and 4 marks have been encroaching further into the lake and so we need get in to the lake and pull it out to reduce this. 3. Shrubs on the bank also by marks 2 and 4 need removing. Things to bring: Pruners and loppers Lawn/leaf rake Wetsuit/Drysuit & Buoyancy aid Please consider coming to help out if you can spare an hour (or more). Giving your time really does make a difference and the more people we can get to help the less time it takes to complete. Thank you
