Croeso and welcome to Shotwick Lake Sailing

Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. We have members from North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both juniors and adults alike.

Frostbite - the winners!

Wow, Christmas is approaching fast and just like that the 2025 Frostbite Series is over. As the boats hit the water last weekend for the final two races the overall winner was already clear, Club Commodore Jeremy Cooper - with five first places under his belt. Frostbite races 5 and 6

Having Skipped last week your Commodore Jeremy Cooper is back and in fine fettle, taking both Sunday races in the Frostbite Series and sneaking the overall series lead, although equal on points with Mark Nield. Frostbite week 2

Sunday 9th November, and races 3 and 4 of the Frostbite Series took place at Shotwick Lake Sailing. Under conditions that fully met the description of that wonderful Scottish word, dreich! Miracle fun!

Two new additions to the Miracle fleet battled it out on Sunday during the Frostbite racing.  Etty Ketty and Bumble have yet to make it to the podium but they were simply excited to be racing. Commodore Rum and Mince Pies
