Croeso and welcome to Shotwick Lake Sailing

Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. We have members from North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both juniors and adults alike.

Junior sailing sessions

The Saturday afternoon junior sailing, parent-led, sessions continue in August and September (Sat: Aug 22nd, Sep 5th, Sep 12th, Sep 26th). Always weather dependant always check the Junior Sailing WhatsApp group before each session to confirm it is on and volunteer for the shore coordinator role or safety boat helm and crew. Summer Series update

The Sunday Summer Series continued last Sunday, with much gentler weather conditions than the fleet has experienced throughout the earlier part of the series. In a similar situation as the Wednesday night Leeward Twilight series, Mark Nield tops the podium in his Laser with 5 wins and 14.78 points. Leeward Twilight Series update

There are only two evening races left in the Wednesday night series, before the nights start drawing in and racing moves back to Sundays only.
