Croeso and welcome to Shotwick Lake Sailing

Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. We have members from North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both juniors and adults alike.

Twilight - Conrad is back

Wednesday 4th June saw Conrad return to the front pipping Jeremy to the final line by 12 seconds (elapsed time)! This means that overall in the series, Jeremy is still in first place but now as Conrad very close behind in second with Simon and Julie third in their Miracle. The Dragon is coming

Diary date: Saturday 14th June 2025. The RYA Youth event, The Dragon Series, is coming to Shotwick Lake. Obviously our youth members can take part, but the event needs lots of volunteers to safely take place. Saturday working party

Sat 7th June… A call to all members: if you have strimmers, hedge cutters (petrol/battery) bring them along as there is a massive amount of bramble to remove. Wear suitable clothing of course! Flying around

On Sunday, not only did the club hold the usual races, but local hero Gaz Henshall could be found foiling around the lake on his board! Members were seen dashing off to checkout foils for Lasers and Solos fearing Gaz might take his board racing!
